Tim Daly Suffers Two Broken Legs in Skiing Accident

The 2017 Sundance Film Festival didn’t go as planned for actor Tim Daly. The Madame Secretary star, who was vacationing in the snowy resort, broke both of his legs in a skiing accident. Daly is scheduled for surgery on January 25 and will need six to eight weeks to recover.

Producers of the CBS hit drama are confident Daly can continue appearing on the show. However, insiders say there are ongoing discussions about whether to write the accident into the plot or simply shoot around his injury.

Daly plays Dr. Henry McCord alongside real-life girlfriend Tea Leoni, who plays Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord. The pair have been dating since 2014.
