Shannen Doherty Shaves Her Head As She Continues To Battle Breast Cancer

In a series of emotional Instagram photos, Shannen Doherty documented her July 20 decision to shave her head. Doherty, 45, has been battling breast cancer since mid-2015.

In February, the 90210 actress spoke candidly about her disease on The Dr. Oz Show, saying she would get a mastectomy if necessary.

“Ultimately, they’re just breasts, right? I mean, I love them, they’re mine, they’re beautiful, but in the grand scheme of things, I would rather be alive, and I would rather grow old with my husband,” Doherty said.

She continues to be treated by a team of doctors.
