Mischa Barton Hospitalized After Disturbance at her Apartment

Actress Mischa Barton has reportedly been hospitalized after police were called to her home following a January 27 disturbance. The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department found Barton to be “speaking in coherent statements” and they say she went to the hospital willingly.

Sources say Barton, who celebrated her birthday with friends on January 25, is under mental evaluation. Her rep has not responded to requests for comments.

Barton previously spent four days in a mental health ward in 2009 after threatening suicide. Barton has called the event a “full-on breakdown” in recent interviews.
