Madonna Calls Donald Trump’s Election a ‘Horror Show’ in New Interview

In the Harper’s Bazaar 150th Anniversary issue, Madonna gets candid about her political leanings and her feelings about president-elect Donald Trump.

“It was just like watching a horror show,” the pop diva, 58, recalled of election night coverage. “I went to sleep, and since that night, I wake up every morning and it’s like when you break up with somebody who has really broken your heart. … That’s how I feel every morning. I wake up and I go, ‘Wait a second. Donald Trump is the president. It’s not a bad dream. It really happened.'”

Madonna says she hopes more entertainers speak out about politics in the coming years.
