Jennifer Aniston Releases Statement On the Passing of Her Mother, Nancy Dow

On May 25, Jennifer Aniston confirmed to Us Weekly that her mother, Nancy Dow, has passed away.

“She was 79 years old and passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends after enduring a long illness,” Aniston said in a statement on behalf of herself and her brother John Melick. “We ask that our family’s privacy be respected as we grieve our loss.”

Dow was married to Aniston’s actor father, John Aniston, from 1965-1980. She had a near-decade long rift with Aniston after penning a memoir about Friends, but the mother-daughter duo reconciled in 2005 when Aniston’s marriage to Brad Pitt ended.
