During a June 16 concert in Edmonton, Canada, singer Meat Loaf collapsed onstage while singing his 1993 classic “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That).” Fans say he tried to continue singing, but was not able to. The band stopped playing, a curtain was drawn across the stage and Meat Loaf was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The eccentric singer, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, had canceled several concerts in recent weeks citing ill health. Doctors say he suffered “a fainting episode” but have not disclosed details.

This isn’t the first time the 90’s sensation has collapsed onstage. He suffered a similar episode in 2011 during a concert in Pittsburgh.
