Nyle DiMarco’s Dancing debut was the talk of Twitter last night, after the deaf model and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd burned up the dance floor with a sexy cha-cha-cha.

“Growing up I didn’t dance at all, and I wasn’t sure if I could,” DiMarco said afterward. “I didn’t want to make a fool out of myself as a deaf person.”

Despite being 100 percent deaf, DiMarco appeared able to keep perfect time. He and Murgatroyd received high praise from the judges, though DiMarco gave much of the credit to his partner.

“It’s not all about hearing,” he explained. “It’s about our connection and Peta’s pace and following it.”
