The Los Angeles Times has reported that convicted killer Charles Manson is “seriously ill” and has been temporarily moved from prison to a Bakersfield, California hospital in order to receive treatment.
The cult leader, 82, reportedly presented at the ER with severe gastrointestinal issues. He has been in Corcoran State Prison since 1971, when he was convicted conspiracy to commit murder for the infamous 1969 Manson Family Murders.
The Manson cult’s most well-known victim was actress Sharon Tate, late wife of director Roman Polanski, who was 8 months pregnant at the time of her murder.
