Celine Dion Is Surprised By Her Son In Emotional Billboard Music Awards Moment

Celine Dion received the Icon Award at the May 22 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, but even more memorable for the singer was a surprise appearance from her son Rene-Charles, who appeared on stage to help present the honor to his mother.

In her acceptance speech, Dion thanked her fans, her label and her team before paying tribute to her late husband Rene Angelil: “My beloved husband whom I know will continue to watch over me from up above.”

Angelil passed away four months ago. He was also Dion’s manager.
