Audio Released from Prince’s Emergency Plane Landing Days Before His Death

Six days before Prince’s death, his private plan made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois. Now, the audio from the plane’s medical distress call has been released, indicating that the music icon was suffering from a life-threatening condition. The pilot and the air traffic controller can be heard arranging a certified first responder for the moment the plane landed.

Prince was found dead in an elevator in his home on April 21. He was reportedly suffering flu-like symptoms for several weeks. An autopsy is underway, but no official cause of death has been released.
