Cate Blanchett Says #Selfies Are ‘Pathetic’

In a new interview with Yahoo Beauty, Cate Blanchett revealed her true feelings about social media – and of selfies.

“People constantly are taking pictures of ourselves to send them to people to see if they like me, ‘Do they like me?’ It’s pathetic, the whole thing about people worrying about what other people are going to think,” she said. “I just can’t handle it.”

Blanchett also said she is not a fan of the 360-degree cameras on red carpets.
