Bindi Irwin Pens Sweet Note to Departing Boyfriend Chandler Powell

It was a bittersweet goodbye for Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell.

The 18-year-old daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin and the professional wakeboarder have been in a long-distance romance since meeting in 2013. Irwin resides in Australia and works at her family’s zoo, while Powell lives in the United States. On December 8, the couple parted ways after an extended visit.

“Dropping you off at the airport & waving goodbye, it never gets easier. Thank you for the most wonderful adventures these last few months,” Irwin wrote on Instagram. “From the very first day I met you, you’ve been my sunshine. I will see you again soon!”
