The Royal Family Celebrates Princess Charlotte’s First Birthday

To celebrate her first birthday on May 2, Prince William and Princess Kate have released personal photos of their daughter, Princess Charlotte. According to the family’s official Instagram account, many of the photos were taken by Kate herself.

Gifts to the young royal have come in from several heads of state, including the President and First Lady. The Obama family gifted Charlotte with a jigsaw puzzle and a stuffed version of their Portuguese water dog, Bo, during a visit to the palace in April.

Other notable presents include a silver rattle from the president of Mexico and a $100,000 donation in her name to Immunize Canada by the Canadian Prime Minister.
