Kristen Bell Opens Up About Husband Dax Shepard’s Troubled Past

In an emotional appearance on CBS’s Sunday Morning, Kristen Bell spoke candidly about husband Dax Shepard’s past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction.

“He’s a wonderful father,” Bell, 36, said. “He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years and he pulled himself out of it, and he’s been sober for 11, 12 years now. … And he knows how many times he’s messed up and how many times he’s been really close to losing everything.”

Bell and Shepard, 41, have been married since 2013. They share two daughters.
