Alan Rickman Dies at Age 69

On Thursday, Jan. 14, Alan Rickman passed away at age 69. He had been privately battling cancer.

Rickman was known for playing such characters as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series.

He married his partner of more than 50 years, Rima Horton, in 2012.
