Sources Say Jerry O’Connell May Replace Michael Strahan on ‘Live’

He has assumed the guest cohost role multiple times, and now sources say Jerry O’Connell may permanently cohost Live alongside Kelly Ripa when Michael Strahan leaves in mid-May.

Although O’Connell says he has not yet been contacted by anyone on the show, he had glowing praise for Ripa.

“It would be an honor — I would do anything Kelly asked me to do,” O’Connell has said. “That’s how much I respect her.”

Strahan is leaving for a position at Good Morning America. His last host appearance on Live is May 13.
