More than 500 wounded warrior athletes from 15 nations are preparing to compete in Prince Harry’s upcoming Invictus Games in Orlando, and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman has been invited to participate in the opening ceremony on May 8.

In a statement, Freeman said, “The Invictus Games are a celebration of the human spirit and I am honored to be able to support these inspiring competitors who have embraced sport as part of their healing journey.”

Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough are also scheduled to make appearances. The Invictus Games will take place from May 8-12.
