Mariah Carey’s televised New Year’s Eve performance may have been a flop, but it didn’t stop a Russian billionaire from paying the “Emotions” singer a small fortune to perform at his 19-year-old granddaughter’s wedding this week.

Valery Kogan, owner of Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport, reportedly paid Carey “over seven figures” to sing her hits like “My All” and “It’s Like That” at the wedding of Irene Kogan and Daniel Kevey. Sources say Elton John also performed at the event, and Antonio Banderas reportedly made a speech to the bride and groom.

The well-paid gig comes on the heels of Carey’s disastrous appearance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, during which the diva became frustrated by sound problems and walked off stage.
