This week’s episode of Dancing With the Stars featured a moving tribute from Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez to her late grandmother, who died just days earlier. Hernandez burst into tears as her performance with partner Val Chmerkovskiy ended.

“It was a little hard,” Hernandez, 16, said after the show. “But I was able to — instead of saying anything, because sometimes you don’t know what to say, I just danced my way through it.”

Hernandez received a perfect score of 10 from all three judges, placing her at the top of the leader board.
