Chrissy Metz Says Her ‘This Is Us’ Contract Includes Weight Loss

Actress Chrissy Metz, who stars as “Kate” in new NBC drama This Is Us, says her contract includes a clause that she will slim down as her character does. Metz plays a woman who is making drastic lifestyle changes in an effort to lose weight.

“In our contract, it did state that that would be a part of it, to lose the weight in the trajectory of the character as she comes to find herself,” she said in a recent interview. “That was a win-win for me.”

Metz went on to say that, although the contract requires it, she intends to lose the weight for herself.
